Just over a week ago our MWA steering committee agreed to start highlighting ICE and Homeland Security arrests, as well as other questionable acts by the Trump Administration, as they are increasing and becoming even more egregious. We decided to present summaries and links to five full news articles each week. We knew, however, there would be more than five incidents each week.
Here on June 9—as Los Angeles is being tormented by ICE, the National Guard, and, in some cases, local law enforcement—it feels like nothing we do here on our Facebook page and website could be enough. But—in keeping with our mission to "Do Something"— we document this scary and appalling time in our nation's history. We hope to shine a SPOTLIGHT on immigration arrests, unlawful detainments, and remitting of human beings to facilities outside of the U.S. We welcome your comments and additions, for surely this does not cover them all.
THIS WEEK'S SPOTLIGHT ARTICLES
